Spotify Iphone App Approved

The Spotify Iphone App is finally approved after weeks of speculations. The “iTunes killer” as some described it finally made it to the App store, something that shocked many observers and analysts. Many speculated that Spotify App for Iphone will be refused by Apple similarly to Google Voice App earlier this month.
But why did Apple approve Spotify App, which will certainly mean the approval of Rhapsody app that RealNetworks said to have submitted few days ago ??
Perhaps Apple doesn’t see Spotify as a threat to iTunes since only Premium members would have access to the Iphone App. Figures shows that 1:50 of Spotify users are paying for premium subscription. It might be that the entire music streaming is not a threat for Apple iTunes, since Apple will benefit much more from Iphone sales than from iTunes. More appealing apps implies more iphone sales. After all, Spotify has more than 1.5 million users (end of June 2009).
Furthermore, denying yet another app would create negative publicity around the Iphone.
Since the Spotify Iphone App is still not available in the App Store, here’s a video showing most of the features like offline streaming which places Spotify Application away from competition.
Lots of of bloggers aren’t very pleased with this new iPad.There was too much hype over it and lots of people got disapointed. You see, I for one see great deal of the cool potential of the gadget. Third-party apps for composing tunes, games, newspapers and magazines and books, tons of cool stuff, but they just didn’t really sell it right (excluding the books). It feels kinda not finished
